Shin Han Marker Blog Hop

Welcome to our Shin Han Marker Blog Hop! We will be featuring projects using the new Shin Han Markers from the 2014-2015 CTMH Annual Inspirations idea book. If you have come here from Lela Norris' Blog, you are on the right path! The blog hop is a great big circle, so you can start here and work your way all around. If you get lost along the way, you’ll find the complete list of participating consultants HERE.
We have over 42 Close To My Heart Consultants sharing their creations using these markers with CTMH products on their blogs. This is simple to do - just click on the link at the end of the post on each blog to move to the next one. Here we go!

Supplies used:
Fabulous You stamp set, Snowhaven papers
Cardstock & Ink: Pacifica, Glacier, Black, Flaxen
Shin Han: Carmine, Cerulean Blue Light, Sap Green
Baker's Twine, Clear Sparkles
Purchase all these supplies HERE

I only purchased three Shin Han Marker colors, so I could try them out before taking the plunge and buying more.  I love them and they are wonderful to work with!  So yes, I will be investing in more colors, but for now I just have the three.  I'd decided to buy colors that I could use to make Christmas cards, so I got a red, green and blue.  But for this project I wanted to make something that wasn't a holiday card.  So...I designed my card using the Fabulous You Stamp set.
I'm not much of a coloring type of person, but I want to learn!  And I think with this type of art, the best thing is to learn by doing, the more you do, the better you get.  I need more practice, but this is what I was able to do this go-round.
I started off by using the painter's tape technique to establish a background with Flaxen and Glacier ink on Glacier card stock.  Then I stamped in black and colored.
When I went to assemble my card, I wound up using Snowhaven papers.  Even though this collection is 'snow themed', I think the colors went well with my stamped piece.  Then I finished it off with baker's twine and some bling.
Now "Hop" on over to Carol-Anne Grenier's Blog to see her work. Be sure to visit all the Consultants at their Blogs to get some great crafting ideas and other fun ideas!
Thanks for stopping by!
