Kaboom meets Ariana

Told you I've been making lots of cards with our June Stamp of the Month Kaboom, and here are two more:

I used our Ariana Paper Packet on both cards, but just by changing up the backing cardstock color, I think they look very different.  I also used the same basic card pattern, found in Make it From Your Heart , on both cards.

These cards are made with paper and ink - no embellies on either.  I thought they both had enough going on and I didn't need to add anything, the zip strip and patterned papers were enough.  Ink & Cardstock colors:  Outdoor Denim, Blush.

You can find all the supplies needed to make these cards at My Online Store.  This month's stamp of the month is available thru the end of June.  Get it for $5 with any $50 purchase.

Kaboom! Birthday Card

I've been loving this month's Stamp of The Month:  Kaboom , and I've been making tons of stuff with it lately!  Here's the latest:

I was inspired by a card I found on Pinterest, and you can find the artist's original post here:  June SOTM .  I loved the burst of bright colors against a white background with black ink.

I created my background paper by random stamping with Honey, Gypsy, Lagoon, and Pear inks.  Then I wrapped a bit of Topiary Chevron Ribbon around it, and then fussy-cut the 'celebrate', stamped in black.  Popped it with a pop dot, and mounted the whole thing on black cardstock.  Super easy!

The last day to get this stamp set will be June 30th.  Shop my Online Store to get yours!

I threw this little 3" x 3" Thank You card set together in only a few quick minutes:

I used this month's Stamp of the Month:  Kaboom, ink, and cardstock.  Super Easy!

Ariana Birthday Card

Here is a birthday card I made a couple of weeks ago:

I was inspired by a fellow CTMH consultant, and you can find her original post here: Wizard's Hangout

I used our Ariana Paper Packet along with our Love This and Holiday Tags stamp sets.  Ink and cardstock colors were Blush and Ruby.  And I added a little bling : Sparkle Flourish .

I wasn't originally very impressed with this paper collection, but the more I use it, the more I fall in love with it!

Kaboom Layout with ProPlayer completed!

Since I rarely do a single-page layout, I just had to make the companion page to my earlier Freedom layout.  I made the coordinating layout page featured on pg.22 of our Make It From Your Heart Vol. 1

And here are the two pages together:

And a close-up of the embellishment cluster:

I tried to keep everything simple since this layout features five photos and I don't know what or how busy those photos will be yet!  I cut the frames and rocket using Cricut Artbooking and backed them with glitter paper and cardstock.  And of course, I had to add a little bling with our Sparkles Clear Flourishes .

Get the Kaboom! Stamp set now thru the end of the month for $5 with any $50 purchase.  This set is turning out to be one of my favorites.  Now off to make birthday cards with this set!

Pop-Up Box Card

So I've been seeing many versions of the 'Pop-Up' or 'Exploding' cards and decided to learn how to make my own.  I found a tutorial here: Pop-Up Card Tutorial .  Watch the video on this page, in just over six minutes, you too will be on your way to making your own pop-up card!

Here's mine:
Here is the card closed, ready for mailing.

And here it is popped open.  And a closer look:

I've been working with the June Stamp of the Month, Kaboom! , and knew it would be perfect for this card.  I thought I'd leave the side panels blank for now until I decide what kind of celebration it will be for - most likely it will be a birthday card.

I thought I had enough going on so I kept supplies limited to paper and stamps.
Pro Player Paper Packet
Card Stock & Ink Colors:  Outdoor Denim, Ruby, Lagoon, Sky, White Daisy

Lots of fun to make!  Get the June Stamp of the Month now thru the end of the month for $5 with any $50 purchase.  Shop anytime at my Online Store

Kaboom! June Stamp of the Month

I made a version of the layout featured in our Spring/Summer Idea Book using this month's Stamp of the Month: Kaboom .  Did you know you can get directions for creating the projects featured in our Idea Book using the Stamp of the Month?  Find directions here, or go to my online store at:  www.ctmh.com/dmhaight and go to the Promotions tab and drop down to 'Stamp of the Month'.  You'll find project instructions for all of the current book's stamps of the month.

Today I made the Freedom Layout :

Instead of using the papers and colors featured in the layout instructions, I substituted with traditional Independence Day colors found in our Pro Player Paper Packet.  This layout pattern can be found in Make it From Your Heart Vol 1 on page 22.  I cut the shapes using Artbooking and Art Philosophy. Ink and cardstock colors were Ruby, Outdoor Denim, Whisper and Pacifica.

We will be having family visiting for the holiday, so I plan to add those photos later.

Here are some close-ups of the embellishment clusters:

I hope you have a wonderful July 4th Holiday weekend, and thanks for stopping by!

Building Block Card

I found a new technique, well, new to me! and had to try it out:  a Building Block card.

You can find the tutorial and pattern for making this card here:  Building Block Card Tutorial  You'll  find a YouTube video on that page as well - watching the video made learning how to make this project super easy!

I used our Ariana paper packet to make this card, along with stamps from Love This, Perfect Fit Birthday, and Holiday Tags, and Perfect Fit Frames 2. The letters were cut using the Artbooking Cartridge.  I coordinated the papers with Outdoor Denim and Blush inks and card stock, and finished it off with some bling - a Clear Sparkle Flourish .

Just think of any four-letter (or less) word and you can make one of these fun building-block cards!

Graduation Card

Here is a card I made for my husband's cousin's son's graduation last month (boy, that wasn't easy to say!):
I made this using only black and white card stock and stamps.

The stamp set is My Acrylix Congrats Graduate.  I also used our Chevron Embossing Folder to give some dimension.  The shape was cut using the Art Philosophy Cricut cartridge, and I finished it off with Baker's Twine and an embellishment from the Pro Player collection (retired).  Ink colors were Whisper and Black.  I liked the clean look of only black and white and whisper.

Frame Cluster

I finally made time to hang some of my projects on the wall in my craft room.  The paper flower wreath I made in 2012 was lonely for quite some time!  I have one more project which I am still working on (a pennant frame) to add to this cluster, but here is what I've got so far:

I had to wait to complete this bracket frame until we got our family portraits back from the studio.  I love how the sepia tone coordinates with these papers!  This paper collection is La Belle Vie (retired), a collection that was available in 2012 that I've been hoarding because it coordinates beautifully with the pink-mauve walls in my craft room.

I found this project on Pinterest, and the artist's blog post can be found here:  La Belle Vie Frame
I cased this project but added a bit of my own spin on it by adding 'family', cut using the Artbooking Cricut cartridge  - purchase here, and our glitter paper.  I was nervous about cutting the glitter paper on my cricut, but it cuts beautifully!  Just remember to use the multiple cuts key to cut the image twice.

Purchase the Bracket Frame here.
